TO Steaks did a decent job, but that was years ago now. Somebody needs to put a quality one on the menu and could charge a lot...

South-West Scarborough is not exactly gourmet paradise by any means, but it does have a new place that sells an excellent philly cheese steak for $7.99 made on its new panini maker. It's Hit the Spot Eatery, in the same space as the former Stavros Greek takeout on Kingston Road just east of Warden Avenue. It's run by the same Greek-Canadian family as the old place, but it's taken on new life with upgraded kitchen equipment and a facelift. It's only takeout now, but soon it'll add tables. The menu is expanded from the original Greek fare to include panini sandwiches, including the philly cheese steak, chicken fajita, prosciutta and provolone. Entrees include pasta del giorno, New Yyork steak and calamari dinner, although I haven't tried those yet. Hours are 11 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday, and they deliver - 416-698-9658.

Don't you mean "A philly cheese steak"??

I'm not really sure you can find them. Last time I saw one in the city it was at the Ex. It was good. I doubt it was Philly good though.
