Trendy fusion restaurant in Mission/Castro or Hayes

Hi,
I'm looking for a trendy, fun restaurant to take out some girlfriends for dinner on a Friday night. I'm also serious about good food though and many of the "trendy" places have terrible food. Am particularly looking for american-ethnic fusion type places (asian, latin american, etc) in and around the Mission, Castro, and Hayes Valley. Would like a place with entrees around $20 ($10 above and below fine) and with good drinks. Thanks!
