Looking for an specific hot sauce. Help...

I just came back from St. Louis. I had some drinks and bar food at a couple of bars, and fell in love with a cayenne pepper sauce called Frank's Original Red Hot.

Does anyone know where i can find it here in Los Angeles?

iirc, i bought a gallon jug of the stuff at my local local smart n final to make some buffalo wings. mmm!

Seeing as gado_gado already got a bottle at Ralph's this is old news. They actually advertised Frank's Original Red Hot sauce in this week's local Target advert. Check the inside of the second page. A bottle for a buck twenty-five.

Thanks folks... i knew i've seen it before, didn't know about the fast food chains carrying it, cuz it's been a while since last time i've been to one, but I will just check out some of the groceries in the area. I had no idea it was that common. I really liked it's flavour, and it actually made those toasted raviolis taste even better

And i tried the hot sauce shop at the farmer's market earlier today, and the asian lady looked at me with an ugly face and said "we don't sell that cheap stuff in here"

hahaa, oh well... can be cheap, but i really liked the sauce :)

Lol! The antithesis of a chowhound, she was! Sometimes cheap and good can be synonymous! Glad you found your sauce :-)

That's funny. I like it too. I noticed we have about 6 bottles in our pantry this morning...

You can find it just about anywhere at this point. It's very commonly used as the base for buffalo wing sauces. In fact, I am nearly positive that either McDonald's, Carl's Jr., or Jack-in-the-Box use it as their "buffalo" sauce available for their chicken fingers.

there is a store at the third and fairfax farmers market that only sells hotsauces. Check there.

Most major chain groceries carry it in the same spot with the Tabasco. Sometimes you have to hit a more ethnic neighborhood with a larger selection. This is a very inexpensive product.

Yes, it is pretty commonly available in Los Angeles supermarkets.

If you can't find it in your local supermarket, they would definitely have it at the store at the Farmer's Market, as another poster mentioned. The store is called "Light My Fire" and you can find more info here:
