Betty's in Niagara Falls
We ask around at the hotel for a fish place and someone mentioned Betty's. Put the address in the GPS and it lead us right to the huge parking lot. It was a Friday evening and I thought we were just in time for "Senior Citizens Night" (felt right at home. LOL)
The place was packed. Service was fast and friendly. They have a huge local clientel and everyone made us feel right at home. (Well it was like that all over Ontario... the Aloha
Spirit is alive and well in Canada)
I had fish and chips, my wife had the mixed seafood plate with shrimp and fish and scalaps..... melt in the mouth.
Be sure to save room for one of those huge slices of pie.
Think of all the horrible places/tourist traps in the Niagara area. At. Catherines CKTB AM talk shows, especially the recently late, great John Michael and " the family " of listeners introduced me to this excellent restaurant, a busy locals haunt. Always a terrific idea to listen to some of the local AM stations for real information!
I haven't been to Betty's for a few years now, but I used to be a regular. They had the best fish and chips that I've ever had. I always had the fish and chips or the seafood platter, so I can't comment on other menu items from personal experience, but my non-fish loving friends and relatives always raved about their meals, and saved room for the pie.
Now I want to go back again....
