Where is the best place to get strawberry shortcacke in the Baltimore area?

City Cafe in Baltimore used to have the best strawberry shortcake, but I called today (about the 10th time this year) and they finally told me they will not have it this year b/c they are searching for a new pastry chef. It is my gf's favorite, so now I have to find something else to surprise her with. Where is the best strawberry shortcake???

Don't know if they got a new pastry chef or what, but I scored a piece of Strawberry Shortcake from City Cafe just yesterday, and it was as good as ever.

Dined at Captain Harvey's in Owings Mills last night. There was a lovely looking strawberry shortcake displayed in the dessert carousel. It appeared to have been homemade. I intended to order a slice to take home, but ran into friends who were dining at the restaurant and totally forget to get my cake and eat it too. FoiGras

            I would try Woodlea Bakery.

I would suggst foregoing the strawberry shortcake this year and seeing what fruity delight Patiserrie Poupon can whip up for you.

Patisserie Poupon has a cake called a Fraisier. Genoise, kirsch, strawberries, mousseline cream and marzipan
