My hubby and I just dined at Tibrizi's this evening. He ordered an entree of seared, rare ahi tuna served over a generous portion of mesclun greens (about $15)--I ordered an entree of seared ahi tuna, scallops and shrimp, served over chilled cumin couscous with some diced vegetables. Very good, but bland. I really like this estalishment and enjoy the atmosphere. To their credit, when I made a request for some sort of dipping sauce and salad dressing to accompany my husband's greens, our server was quite accommodating.
On our first visit we were met with a very slow service, but that wasn't the issue this time.
Anyhow, maybe I, and my hubby, are being too "picky." But, I want to enjoy dollar value/flavor/atmosphere when dining out. We are not food snobs and are very easy going. It's only ONE MEAL.
So, we entend to once again return to Tabrizi's. ----Oh, one more little episode--a couple were seated near us with a little girl (about 2 years old). That child screamed and jumped around and made it quite unpleasant for a dinner out for adults. The parents didn't correct the child and let her "be herself." YIPES! take the kid to McDonalds then hire a baby sitter and dine out later. Or train that kid to behave. My parents took me out and I sat and behaved and ate my dinner. FoiGras
