Trying to find canned snails

Anyone know a good place to get canned snails for escargot in Oakland?

A couple years ago I bought some canned snails at Cost Plus in Oakland.

They were swampy and nasty,even after draining and soaking them in Wine,garlic,herb brine overnight.

I would love to hear if you find some good ones.

I know I've seen them around, I think either at the Pasta Shop in Rockridge or at Spanish Table in Berkeley.
