Olbia, Sardinia and Lunch

Any good recommendations for a good lunch? What should we do there for the day? We will be on a cruise ship docked there on a Wednesday from 8:00am - 5:00pm and would rather not do an excursion offered by the cruise company. Thank you for any recommendations!

If I could eat only one meal in all of Sardinia it would be at La Gallura. This is a must. I second the suggestion.

If you can rent a car or use a cab, I suggest to arrive to Monte Pino, very close to Telti and far only 15km from the dock of Olbia and have lunch at the restaurant ANGELO & ARCANGELA, not yet well known from tourists but a must for the local people.
You will taste the true typical food of this area of Sardinia and, maybe, mushrooms also.
      You will enjoy it.
      Ciao.

Ristorante Gallura. Corso Umberto I, n.145 Olbia (SS) . Tel. 0789/24648

It is also a hotel, in the middle of town, not on the water.
