Going to City Beer tonight to partake in a little Brettanomyces and need a place to eat nearby at around 9 or so. I don't want to have to wait for a table and would prefer just to pop in for something. The problem is that I will have a car, so I really need a place where street parking won't be an issue. In the past, after City Beer trips, I have gone to Oola (although that tends to be a kind of busy on a Thursday) and 21st Amendment (beer tends to be a let-down after the bounty of City Beer). Any thoughts on other places between 8th & Folsom and the Bay Bridge where parking won't be an issue and a table easy to get?

Rocco's is right across the street from City Beer (or at least I think it's the same block) so if you've parked at City Beer you're set.

It's very solid american/italian food. Think meatballs and red sauce, chicken parmesan, burgers etc. It doesn't have the atmosphere of oola (or even 21a for that matter).

Getting closer to the Bay Bridge is Mochica (on harrison btw 5th and Oak Grove). Parking is usually ok on Oak Grove or Bryant; maybe on Harrison. Good peruvian with really good ceviche (and an entrance to the bridge @ 5th and Bryant).
Right in South Park is South Park Cafe. parking in south park is relatively easy in the evening (if you could park for 21A you could park for here).
All of these places I've managed to go to w/out a wait.

Fatted Calf charcuterie and artisanal cheese at Terroir down the block.

Second on Mochica.

Naan 'n' Chutney usually has spaces right in front.

Some other possibilities depending on which night of the week and whether there's a Giants game on:

Thanks for the recommendations. Ended up just going over the bridge to Flora. Had an excellent beef cheek tortellini starter, among other good items. Will check out Mochica and Terrior next time.
