Was in Portugal recently I really enjoyed the street vendors who grilled sardines on small braziers (the equivalent of our hot dog vednors). Anyone know of a portuguese restaurant in Toronto that grill sardines for take out?
Chiado/Senhor Antonio's has them. Completely delicious. I assume they are available for takeout, though I'd rather sit at the bar and eat them with a glass of vinho verde!
Bairrada on College does them.
I had great ones at Piri Piri on Dupont last week. I'm sure they do takeout.
Not exactly a restaurant but Buster's at the back of the St. Lawrence market has them. I've yet to try the sardines (even though I keep saying I will every weekend) but it's worth giving them a shot.
Kind of takeout, but keep your eyes open for those "no car Sundays" in Kensington Market. I recall Sardines being grilled outside on of the restaurants. On Augusta St., pretty sure.
i think they grill them inside too when it isn't pedestrian sunday.. the restaurant right next to the park
