Landmarc - which location?

TBird Jun 25, 2008 08:34 PM

i've been to tribeca once and loved it, but we are entertaining some friends from out of town before a bway show on saturday and was wondering if there is a huge difference in the two locations. thanks in advance.

the food is about the same, but i think the time warner center lacks in atmosphere - its more touristy and doesnt have the good vibe that the downtown one has. i much prefer the tribeca location, although its rather far for a pre-broadway meal.

I also prefer the vibe of the Tribeca location, but I think tourists would like the Time Warner Center one. If you're lucky, you can get a great view of Central Park and the streets. And thalthewall is correct -- the food is about the same.

I went to Landmarc Time Warner center for the first time yesterday and it reminded me of being at a restaurant in a mall (technically, it is a mall I suppose). The food and atmosphere was reminiscent of a slightly more upscale chain restaurant. The Landmarc downtown has a much hipper and cooler vibe to it. I have only been to both for lunch, so can't realy comment on dinner. If you go to Time Warner, call ahead and ask to be seated near a window so you get the view.

We were in TW about a month ago at the bookstore, and that was my impression about that whole level of restaurants. Gave me no inclination whatsoever to go to Bouchon Bakery to sit down and eat.
