Saturday lunch spots in Sacramento

Many of the more popular restaurants in and around downtown Sacramento are not open for lunch on Saturdays. I am looking for someplace that is a little nicer than 'everyday', as my friends want to buy me lunch for my birthday. I'm not interested in Zocalo or any of the hotel restaurants, but if anyone knows of any spots that are open on Saturday afternoon, I'd love some suggestions! Thanks in advance.

  1. Plan B..on Greenhaven and Pocket Road. It's in that shopping center. Very nice..great food!! They open at 11 or 11:30.

    1. I know you said no hotel restaurants, but what about Chanterelle? I think they are open for saturday lunch.

      Chanterelle
      1300 H Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

      1. Lucca is open for lunch on Saturdays.

        1. Also- 33rd St Bistro, Club Riverside, Bistro 33 Midtown. The patio at Club Riverside is probably my favorite of the three.

Unless the Riverside Club and Lucca have improved immensley, I'd skip them. Love 33rd Street Bistro and Bistro 33 Midtown. What about Roxy's?

          2. OP here, thanks for all the suggestions! After you mentioned it, I remember reading about Plan B back when it opened, and how it was surprisingly good. Chanterelle is a very nice dinner spot, but not sure about lunch. I don't think I've ever been to Roxy. I definitely have some options now! Thanks again!

            1. La Trattoria Bohemia is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Located at 3649 J Street. Give them a try. Open most days 11:30 TO 10:00 but great brunch on Sunday mornings. Wonderful and quality fresh food. (916A) 433-7803.
