Roseville -- San Diego/Point Loma

Folks,

Anyone hear about this place yet?

Looks interesting and new. A co-worker swears by it, saying the wine list and food is excellent, perhaps is favorite San Diego meal in a long time.

Will probably go by on Saturday, but interested to hear your take on it if you've been.

This is George Riffle's new place (original Laurel Restaurant & Bar, Blanca and Ivy Hotel).

Thinking about heading here this weekend, menu on the website looks good, not super exciting, but since we live in OB we want to give it a try. Anybody have any reviews or input?

If I would have to list my biggest disappointment in 2008 in SD it would be Roseville (followed by Whisk'n'Ladle). Both are way too expensive for wthe quality they deliver. There are now many other options in SD which are much better

I think you may be the first from this board. I heard about it a few weeks ago and drove by when I was in the area just to get a sense, the web sight wasn't even up yet even though they had opened. I'm really interested as we spend a lot of time in the area in the summer months, so please give us an update and your impressions after you go!

I saw this place while on the way to dinner at SWYC a couple of weeks back and I rubber necked to see what was going on..La Playa is my old stomping grounds and love the limited menu and can't wait to dine there..
