Bulk strawberries in DC?

Hi there!

I'm making 4 oz jars of jam for my wedding favors and I'm having a hard time finding good strawberries that I can buy in bulk. I have 36 done so far (out of 125) from the Driscoll's berries I got at Harris Teeter for $2/lb but they don't have that sale price anymore.

Anyone know of a good place for me to get this kind of a deal or should I bite the bullet and use frozen at $3 or more per pound? I still have quite a few batches of jam to go...

Bonus points for being close to Falls Church.

Thanks!

Costco had them for under $7 for a 4# container. I know, it's not technically in DC, and you need a membership, but that's definitely a better price than HT.

It's either at or just beyond the season, but the local farms were having u-picks at around $2.99 per pint. Great Country Farms is where we got ours. Not sure if that's worth it to you or not, though.
