Reading the Oki Dog thread made me wax nostalgic for this place....lousy food, grumpy proprietors, AWESOME jukebox (it had a 45 of Syd Vicious singing "My Way" as well X, Social Distortion and the Clash) Me and my pals would have drinks at Yee Me Low's (closed)....sing a couple of tunes at the old Oiwake (torn down and relocated)....and have a plate of ham, eggs and rice before heading home. Those were the days!

a classic place.. The old sign is still there, but atttached to the back of the building. Sadly the mural has been painted over.

I was there once with some friends from out of town. One of them started asking questions about one of the dishes, and the guy just ripped the menu out of his hand, walked away, and brought some random food.

The hotdog & rice (wiener bang?) was early classic asian fusion cuisine..

Aside from the jukebox, every inch of the walls and ceiling was covered in classic punk flyers. I wonder what happened to those.

....sigh....Open from 4pm 'til 4am. Now those are some hours!!! I loved all the flyers for punk shows... and red leather booths.

The food? Well, it wasn't about the food at 3am.
