Blind date in St. paul stops???

Going out on a blind date on Wed. in St. Paul. It will be very causal and hopefully fun. I really only know Mpls though.

Any great suggestions on a multiple stop date for a foodie/chef in and around St. Paul???
Starting with snacks and drinks then onto dinner or whatever.

Patios, movietheater/pubs, park eateries, etc...

Any input would be helpful. Thanks. Scotty

Thank you all for the great advice! I really like the ice cream suggestions @ the end (if it gets that far). I will write a final post and tell you all about my experiences at each place.

      Wish me luck!

Good luck. And remember, if she doesn't like ice cream, Legacy Chocolates is right next to Izzy's (as is a coffee shop to linger in/outside if that's more her game).

Wow, dinner at The Strip Club is one heck of a first date!!

Blind dates can make you want to linger or wrap it up on time or grouge out your own eyeballs. How about a couple of options that could be picked up or dropped at will, close enough together to make for a nice long walk in one picturesque neighborhood?

          Drinks at the Happy Gnome
Dinner on the patio at the new Salut (it would be wise to call for reservations)
Ice Cream at Grand Ole Creamery

I agree with KTFoley, I'd be really impressed with the the above mentioned three if I were her. It might be good to know though, depending on what kind of shoes she's wearing, that the Gnome and Salut are about a 1/2 mile apart. Good luck!

In general, I agree with all of KTFoley's excellent (as always) points, but I'd like to respectfully suggest the patio at W.A. Frost (there's a section in back of the patio where you don't need reservations, though, when it's busy there can be a wait) or even at the inside bar of W.A. Frost instead of the Happy Gnome. It's just a few blocks away and so so so much better. Just my two cents. Unless your date would be really impressed by a huge beer selection, which is where the Happy Gnome excels in my opinion.
