I'm staying in Mayfair but I'm looking for good quality food that won't cost and arm and a leg. Any suggestions?

Walkable from Mayfair is Green Valley, a Lebanese Grocery store with lots of delicious stuff from their deli and dessert section. See posts by Howler.

Why not walk up to Crawford St and try The Duke of Wellington?

It does not seem to get many mentions, but I really enjoyed it a lot. Great ingredients not screwed around with

I ate at the Grenadier once, back in the Dark Ages. Is that still considered a place worthy of a meal? It's the one on Wilton near Harrod's.
