List of Farmers Markets in the city?

Does anyone know where I could find a list of Farmers Markets in Manhattan?

The Boston board has a great tradition of starting a weekly post to report what's good at different farmers markets in the area. I'd like to start that tradition here, it's great to here what's fresh, what's just in, and what shouldn't be missed each week.

  1. I just looked this up the other day; I don't know if it's comprehensive enough for you, but here it is:

    The main website is:

    1. The website drummergirl posted is the best one for listing all the greenmarkets in the 5 boroughs with the days/hours. There's also a chart somewhere on that site which shows which vegetables/fruits are in season when. But it doesn't say what will be at each market. For example, I found that some things show up earlier at Union Square than they do at my local W. 97th Street market.

I don't know of a site that will tell you those details, but if you shop at Union Square or use it as a rough guide as to what *may* be available elsewhere, then check out Lucy's Greenmarket Report at http://www.echonyc.com/~lwollin/green... or the other Union Square reporting at http://greenmarketreport.wordpress.com/ .

Thanks, those two sites are really good, especially the map with the hours, that's just what I was looking for!
