San Leandro restaurant recommendations
I will be staying in San Leandro on business and would appreciate some restaurant recommendations. I'll have a car, but I don't know how much time or energy I'll have for driving around at the end of the day. All recommendations are welcome (ethnic, hole-in-the-wall, upscale)

Rocky's is really great! I had the ceasar and a burger. It's like fuddrucker style when you add things to your burger, you can do it yourself. I was able to add generous amounts of tomato and spinach. The meat was yummy and the service was good.
Also, Bay's BBQ was good too. Try the chicken!

Sweet Fingers Jamaican restaurant has great food, if the rest of the menu is as good as the beef patties.

It's been awhile since I've been to this spot, but Paradiso was pretty good. Just add it to the other restaurants that other members suggested. www.paradiso-sanleandro.com

re: Lando
Paradiso's the closest thing to a Berkeley / SF-style place. I'll take it over Horatio's any day.
My dad lives in SL so I eat there fairly often. Unfortunately he's not interested in eating Korean or Chinese.

I agree on Paradiso. Took a client there for lunch and it was a great place. Great wine list (although for lunch we abstained unfortunately). Had a salad that was well composed, a little tart but that was the conception. Don't remember exactly the name. Paradiso is definitely to be recommended if in Oakland/San Leandro

I'm fond of Luke's Grill (mentioned in two of the above threads) for Greek. Their soups, although salty, are both excellent, and they give generous portions. Service isn't fast, though there is parking. There is also a Thai place within two blocks (sorry, the name is something generic like "Thai Satay") that has a good tom yum gai.
