Tamales?

Who makes really good tamales?

We get them occasionally at La Lupe, but they only offer chicken with green sauce or pork with red sauce. They are decent enough, but I'm looking for a little more variety and maybe more flavor. I saw a mole tamale on TV today and that really got me going!!!

Thanks!!!

There is a woman who walks around Old City, selling fresh, homemade tamales out of a hot pot to restaurant workers. Although she only seems to have chicken tamales (choice of "spicy" or "not spicy," but both kinds pack some heat), they are some of the best I've ever had. So far I've only found her a few times on the weekends, about 6-ish.

Last time we were in the Italian Market, there was a woman selling them out of a cooler. It doesn't get more authentic than that. However, we didn't try them. Thanks.
