Try For the Love of Food. I recently took the knife skills class as a refresher & it was excellent. I haven't attended one of the Wine Dinners, but have heard that they are lots of fun and informative. Perhaps, you could get a group of friends together for a Wine Dinner and call it his Birthday Party! I'd love that, personally! Here's the Link:

If your husband is a cake lover, you could also look into classes at Cake Love. Although they have a location in Canton, the classes are at the Silver Spring store. Very resonably priced $65 for the regular classes and $85 for the cookbook labs & other sessions taught by Warren, the Food Network host. One of the July classes is actually a test lab for Warren's next cookbook recipes. Sounds like fun and I may have to attend myself. Cheers!
