Where is there a good place to buy "sticky rice?" Good quality and a variety. Since Mei Mei Bakery on Pell Street closed I have not found another place with the same quality. Please Help!

I just saw a recommendation for zhongzi from Century Cafe.

Also you can try the ones at SSK. I've not had them yet but they do have them. From the take out counter on the left after you walk in.

Haven't been to Mei Mei, but I have gotten pretty good sticky rice at Fay Da bakery on Centre and at Deluxe Food Market on Mott. Post back if you try these places. Also, maybe post on the Manhattan board since that one gets faar more traffic than this does.

I have tried sticky rice at Deluxe Food Market. It is pretty good. My only complaint is that they don't have a selection of choice. I will buy from there. I tried some at a busy place on Grand St between Elizabeth and Bowery. Because it did a brisk takeout during lunch time, I thought my prayers were answered. However, I was disappointed because the filling was very skimpy.
