For future reference, there are lots of nice places within walking distance of the Stone Arch Bridge. On the East Bank, I'd head to a place like Alma for an upscale meal (expensive - and worth it); Brasa for southern meat and sides (casual and semi-inexpensive; food is local/organic); Kramarczuk's for Polish/Ukranian food (cafeteria with beer and wine only); Nye's for a great bar scene (food is lousy - eat at Kramarczuk's first); orl Punch or Pizza Nea for Neapolitan-style pizza (wine and beer only). I'm less familiar with the restaurants on the West Bank (downtown side), but I might head to Spoonriver. If you wanted to go to the Cedar-Riverside area, I'd recommend Chai's Thai (no alcohol) or Keefer Court (no alcohol either, but great Chinese food).
