Los Feliz: ISO Restaurant Name

I'm trying to find the name and address of a restaurant in Los Feliz on Vermont between Franklin and Hollywood. I think the food is latin american / south american, possibly involving tapas. West side of the street. Outdoor seating. Any help? Thanks!

I like this place a lot. i've been hoping for a decent mojito within walking distance. theirs is much better than the over-minted mojito at Vermont, and i like the Mulata, a mojito with dark rum, as long as Joe is making it. The surly pretty boy who also tends bar during the days joe's not there makes them lame and has a crappy attitude. if he doesn't like his job, he should get another one.
that being said, i like the food, good sandwiches, tasty appetizers, hot-ass garlic mojo. a little too reliant on fried foods, tho(i hope to work thru more of the menu as the summer wears on) the plantains are little too dry and they need to come up with a more interesting side than just skinny french fries.
I'm also in love with Jennifer.

Has anyone been to Cuba Libre? I walked by last night and there were quite a few people inside (in contrast to its predecessor, Tiger Lily, which always seemed empty). However, I have not heard anything about it and am not feeling like a risk-taker these days.

been there. the food is pretty good. nothing spectacular, but then again, it's not expensive. they are big on the mojitos too.

they bring out corn chips.

i like going for the free standup on monday nights.

Cuba Libre has the same Indian owner as Tiger Lily, yet at least people know what the concept and cuisine are all about.
What did anyone really ever know about Tiger Lily - your comment above said it all.
Thus the conversion in the spring of this year.

Sounds like Cobras & Matadors, which is actually on Hollywood Boulevard, just off of Vermont.
