Looking for the best Vietnamese Hoagies, called bahn mi. I used to go to Cafe 900 in C-town, but you have to get there b/f 5 or just past 5pm to get them.

surprisingly the bubble house used to have a delicious one on their menu, but you can't beat o sandwiches for tasty, convenient bahn mi:

Sadly, I do not remember the name of the place, but there is a very popular tiny banh mi take out place around 9th + Christian. If you searched for "banh mi christian" in this board, you will find it. The chicken banh mi there is great, but the vegetarian one is less great. For a great tofu banh mi, go to the Vietnamese deli (I think it's called Fu Wah or somesuch) at Baltimore and 46th (thereabouts).

Is that O Sandwiches? I switch between Fu Wah and O Sandwiches' tofu hoagies. O has much better bread (homemade), Fu Wah has more delicious fillings.

Hmmm I'm not sure if it's O Sandwiches. Doesn't sound familiar. Bread goes a long way, but I'm all about the fixings. The best banh mi I've ever had was at a tiny hole in the wall in NYC that has been closed and gone for the past few years. They put in pickled carrots and supremely flavorful chicken. Not sure why it is so hard to find pickled carrots here.

I'm pretty sure you mean Cafe Nhu Y -- 802 Christian Street. Super tiny (I mean claustrophobic) place, but very tasty and cheap...
