Watching the Euro Matches in Style

Hi. I'm looking for somewhere to watch some of the Euro soccer games, especially this Sunday's Italy/Spain matchup.

Can anyone think of somewhere Downtown -- other than a basic English pub or Zum Schneider -- that will be broadcasting the games? I'm an Italy fan, so Italian cafes, restaurants (with nibbles if possible) would be great. Thanks for any ideas!

  1. Novecento or Cafe Felix on W. Broadway?

Maybe No. 28 (on Carmine St) if it is still open, L’Angolo (on Houston) or Epistrophe (on Mott) for Italy specific places.

      L'angolo has closed.

      I'm looking around, too.

Oliverstreet, it looks like the best places to watch the game in Gren. Vill. today will be either No. 28, Ciao (on Bleecker), Steak Frites, or (believe it or not) Thunder Jackson's.
In SoHo, the whole Felix, Diva, Novecento scene gets annoying but will be lively in the absence of rain.

    2. What about this Sunday's final? I'm sure the Germans will be in force at Loreleys on Rivington but what about the Spaniards? Don't tell me La Nacional...

La Nacional was p-a-c-k-e-d on Thursday. I'm a regular there and I'm not going anywhere near it on Sunday.

      2. I walked by Felix last weekend when Italy was playing Spain and the restaurant and the whole block was packed. I am not a huge soccer fan, but it was a great atmosphere and very much like being in Europe with the enthusiasm and comraderie for the sport.
