Near Staple's Center

Going to see a show at the Nokia Theater across the street from the Staples Center. Any suggestions for good food.

Would prefer walking distance as I would like not to have to park the car twice. Does the shuttle from some of the downtown hotels & restaurants work during the week? Does it go the Staple Center?

riordan's tavern is a good spot... close to staples, so you park only once. right next door to the original pantry. it's a bar/restaurant. so good beers and very good stiff drinks (you get your $10 worth of alcohol in that drink) and good food. i only had the burger but that was pretty good. the rest of their menu (which is pretty limited) looked good, but pricey for stuff like salmon, steak, ahi tuna, etc. but good local spot for a nice but casual meal.

With the help of this board, I recently had a good meal at Roy's and took the shuttle to a show. It was the weekend though. I would call and ask if the shuttle runs on weekdays.

Lots of downtown restaurants have shuttles, but the nights tend to vary. Best thing to do is give them a call. Or you might be able to narrow the choices down by going on Open Table.

The Palm is a solid choice. I just read in the LA Times they have started their summer lobster special again: http://www.thepalm.com/promodetail.cf...
