Dinner at the Hyatt/Newport, RI??

Has anyone tried this spot for dinner? We have been there for Sunday Bruch which was great - but it's been quite some time. The menu looks good. It would be a convenient choice on our upcoming vacation.

I can help you a little. We always have lunch at Windward, Hyatt's restaurant, on our first day of vacation. We love their Lobster Cobb Salad. Full of lobster meat, It's more than enough for one person. With so many fine restaurants in Newport, we've never had dinner there, but I can guarantee you'll enjoy their lunch..

I can't speak for the Hyatt, but if I could make a recommendation for a special night out, the Clarke Cooke House on Bannister's Wharf is exquisite. My wife and I dined there recently for a special occasion and it was one of the finer meals we've had in a long time.

The dining room you want is the one on the third floor - it's the fanciest and quietest one in the restaurant. The first and second floors are more casual and attract more of a bar crowd. The menu, service, setting and food are all superb. Well worth the high prices.

The Clarke Cooke House is very nice for food & atmosphere. The sushi there is very good and often on weekends they have entertainment
