Chicken Hainanese in Midtown Manhattan

Does anyone know where to get chicken hainanese in midtown manhattan. I work at 47th and Park avenue so somewhere within a 5 to 10 block radius would be nice.

I've been craving this but just can't seem to find it in midtown.

    1. Seriously, I think that's going to be hard to find. If you do a search on menupages for Malaysian cuisine (there's no option for Singaporean), here's the list of Malaysian restaurants in Manhattan. There are none in your area. This list is by all means, not inclusive. But I haven't seen hainese chicken in your area. Perhaps some Thai restaurants may have it.

      1. No malaysian restaurants in midtown, but if you're really hankering for it, you might want to order delivery from either the UES or UWS branches of Penang.

      2. Your chances of finding one are slim to none. If you can settle for a close cousin like boiled chicken over rice then you can ask around the chinese takeout joints. You won't get rice cooked in Chicken fat. The dish originally came from Hainan in China but is well respected in Southeast Asian restaurants.
