CSA near Wappingers/Hopewell Junction/Poughkeepsie area

I was wondering if anyone knew of any CSA (farmshares) around the Poughkeepsie area. TIA!

    vassar has one, i believe...

actually, that may not be a CSA. you have to pick your own and put in time where you farm, and pay a membership fee.

      bob qai:
If you go to localharvest.com and type in New Paltz, 115 CSAs in Ulster, Dutchess and other local counties will be listed. Included is the one at Vassar.

My roommate does something with Stony Kill Farm, which is in Fishkill on 9D. She goes to pick up fresh vegetables every week in exchange for working there for a few hours throughout the summer or something like that...I'll ask her more about it. I just found this on the NY DEC website:

"Common Ground Farm is a new Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project at Stony Kill Farm. What is CSA? Community Supported Agriculture is a simple partnership: members buy shares of the farm's harvest in advance, and the farmer provides a weekly supply of delicious, fresh produce. The CSA movement supports farmers and helps protect open land while providing members with a source of good healthy food. For more information contact Common Ground Farm at (845) 831-6070."
