It’s runoff time! Better than Howdy Doody time and Miller time put together!

Here are the biggest vote getters. I didn’t count any books with fewer than 4 votes because doing so would make the list too long for a runoff.

The low vote-getters (2 and 3 votes apiece) were Batali, French Farmhouse, the Madison Farmers’ Market book, The Art of Simple Food and Chez Panisse Vegs, and World Veg. Cooking

This leaves two books in the runoff:

I know I said I would leave the voting thread up until Monday night, but I’ve changed my mind and will announce the winner on Sunday morning (CA time). There are just these two books and it seems silly to extend the voting. It’s not as if we have many books to research in order to make up our minds. So SUNDAY a.m., June 22nd will be the announcement of the July COTM

VEGETARIAN COOKING FOR EVERYONE, since I have it and love it.

(But if the Greek book wins I'll try to get it from the library. I do love Greek food.)

Hi oakjoan - quick question. I have Kochilas' Meze, and Madison's Local Flavors. Are they bundled?

Rubee, I found a few on-line recipes from The Glorious Foods book:

                                                  I'm sure there are others.

Thanks Gio, I didn't want to have to buy more books when I had a couple by the same authors ; )

Rubee: No, they're not. There were only two or three votes for various combos. One was Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone and Greens. There weren't any votes for the Greek and Local Flavors cookbooks.

The votes these 2 books received were for them alone.

Oh, I see. Thanks oakjoan. Too bad, a combo of VCFE and Local Flavors would've been a good one.

Thanks for all your hard work!

Hmmm. I might use this month to catch up on past favorites like Sunday Suppers!

(Apologies in advance to oakjoan for chatting in the voting thread) Rubee, I'm sure MMRuth or someone (I'd be happy to help if I can) will dredge up some links for whichever book is the winner so that you could at least follow along online! As for me, my "side" project to COTM for the next several months will be cooking at least three recipes from each of my "unused" cookbooks until I've "used" them all, one of which is Lucques, actually!

Oh good idea - this is a great excuse to delve into the unused cookbooks project. I'll definitely cook along with a couple of the on-line recipes for the COTM in July, but now I'm excited about going through my unused cookbooks - I have so many!
