Any suggestions for mid Jersey Shore?

Can anyone give a recommendation for a restaurant between Bay Head and Seaside Heights that serves better food than bad Italian or poorly fried fish?

    Try VILLA VITTORIA in Brick

    Bistro 44 Toms River

Good suggestions from Tapas52. If however you literally mean down Rt. 35 I would suggest you travel a little farther south of the Heights to Seaside Park and try the Atlantic Bar and Grill.

I agree about the Atlantic, but within the OP's Route 35 corridor the only place that might fit the description is probably the Labrador Lounge. I haven't been in a long while, but the menu still looks interesting. Here's a link:

MGZ - I was debating mentioning Labrador as my last meal there was somewhat disappointing. I do however enjoy its sister restaurant Market in the Middle.

We had a wonderful lunch at Market on Monday. That's what made me think of Labrador.

How about Bay Head Bistro, formerly the Heatwave Cafe?

Passed there the other night it looks closed?

For GREAT Italian in a casual setting, try Lenny's Pizzeria & Restaurant in Lavalette (406 Highway 35). They've been there for over 25 years, and the food is fantastic. It will be our first stop (as always!) when we come out to visit in August.
