New Orleans foodie in Cincinnati

Help. I thought I sent a message but it never appeared. So, looking for dining options in Cincinnati. I would like something upscale, something like a Smith and Wolensky but not necessarily a steak house. Good food, dressy, popular, and not empty. I will be alone and love to eat at a nice restuarant bars. I certainly don't want to feel alone so what would be a nice place where there will be lots of people. I am not shy but I want a nice restaurant with a good wine list and good food. I will probably be staying downtown unless you recommend another nice hotel further away. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

  1. This recent thread covered lots of the downtown fine dining options in Cincinnati, http://www.chowhound.com/topics/527755. In terms of a nice hotel not downtown - I wouldn't stress looking elsewhere for a hotel. However, cabs are accessible (and not terribly over priced) between downtown and Mt Adams where Daveed's and the Celestial are also quality options.
