Jackets req'd at Cyrus for Dinner?

We have a reservation for dinner at 5:30 pm on a Friday in August. My boyfriend really doesn't want to have to wear a jacket. Open Table says the dress is business casual. Can anyone who's been there please comment on whether a jacket is necessary?

Few places in California requires a jacket, even very nice or expensive places. The ones that do always state so, like French Laundry. I'd say dress and khakis will get you into 95% of the places and you'll feel in place.

No. We recently went for Saturday dinner and while there were many jackets present, overall the dining room did not feel stuffy, and my party had dress shirts (no ties) and did not feel out of place at all.
