Dinner and Drinks near 22nd and 2nd?

  • 9

Anyone have any suggestions? We'll eat almost anything but sushi. Moderately priced if there is such a thing in NYC - not sure what dollar value to put on that - $30/per?. We aren't opposed to eating at the bar, in fact might prefer it. Thanks.

Rodeo bar is terrible and you won't get out of Bar Milano at under $30 per person.

I wouldn't recommend Mexico Lindo. Mediocre.

Thumbs up on Bar Milano and Ethos. However, I think doing Bar Milano for $30pp might be difficult.

Lantern Thai is a new restaurant which took over the space formerly occupied by Pongsri, on the corner of 2nd & 18th. The food's excellent, and they've done a really nice job refurbishing the interior with modern decor. When we were there, they hadn't gotten their liquor license yet, but that may have changed. It not, I believe there is a liquor store across the street.

        1. Try Bar Stuzzichini near Madison Square Park. The food is great and is priced low so you can try different things. Also, the bar is huge and comfortable to sit at for dinner.

          1. Petite Abeille on 20th & 1st. Moderately priced.
