Ladies Lunch Pre-Theatre Midtown

I am looking for a wonderful place to take my daughter for lunch in midtown before a matinee. It does not have to be "child friendly" as she is ten. Delicious food, great service, nice atmosphere and reasonable value. Great desserts would be a plus. Cuisine? Any and all. Just not a big noisey place..something a bit more reserved.

Definitely not Becco because I think mirandabrooklyn is clear that she is not looking for cramped seating and a hideously high noise level, which is what one has to put up with at Becco. Oh, and the food's mediocre.

West Bank Cafe would be a good fit. Delicious New American cuisine. Friendly, efficient wait staff. Comfortably-spaced tables and low-key ambiance.

Marseille would be a good choice for a ladies lunch in the neighborhood. Like their couscous a lot.

I love Marseille but I think of it as more on the big and noisey side than the reserved side. My pick would be Vice Versa.
