I have been out of Kansas City for a few years....are there any great new places I shouldn't miss on my next visit?

Sure there are. How long has it been? Bluestem immediately pops into my head. Justus Drugstore but it's not in KC. Michael Smith's downtown. PotPie. Swizzle.

It's been 2 and a half years since I've been gone. Bluestem and Potpie were around, but the others are new. Thanks. My parents live near KCI so Justus Drugstore would be easy to hit. I've heard a lot about Seven. Is it all hype? or does it live up to the hoopla?

I've heard it's all hype - food not so good but I have not been there. Regarding Michael Smith's - Michael Smith was married to Debbie Gold and had 40 Sardines out south. Now he's on his own downtown - great place. http://www.michaelsmithkc.com/

Have you been there? How was it? I've had a hard time telling if it was open or not.
