Garden Grove - any outstanding korean?
I'm going to be home in a few weeks and I was wondering if there is any outstanding korean in garden grove? I used to eat in GG back when i lived in CA, but I'm dated on whats good (for instance i used to really like lighthouse, but last time i went it was terrible...definitely changed ownership)
I'll be in LA as well, so i can get ktown korean food, but I was just wondering if there is anything outstanding to try in GG for korean

Go Goo Ryeo. The Korean BBQ and restaurant that excels on service and the food's good too. Go on a weekday and you'll never be so pampered in your life.

yeah im going on a korean binge b/c my gf is going to be with me so language becomes no issue...so im def hitting ondal 2 and there are a few other places i want to try in ktown since ill be up in LA alot anyhow...but i figured i should give GG a try since its so much closer to where my parents live
i think i go on a massive asian binge everytime i go home b/c although NY is good, it doesnt hold a candle to LA on almost any asian food

re: david t.
yeah im much more up to date with irvine since its even closer to where my parents live than GG and i go eat there much more often when im in town although thats usually for chinese...that said has some weird obsession with soon doo bu haha, i think literally every korean restaurant is a soon doo bu place
plus GG is largest ktown outside of LA ktown, alot of options than irvine

re: elmomonster
I second the Go Goo Ryeo recommendation. Their meat is very high quality, and the private rooms are nice. Also had the best air filtering system I've ever experienced - I've never been to a Korean BBQ place where I didn't end up throwing everything in the washer ASAP before this place. Only a trace of residual smell, if any. Only problem was that daenjang at the end is super salty, but I was pretty much full from all the meat anyway.
