Sonoran Mexican Food - Greater Phoenix
Gastronomic Delight? I suppose it depends on what one is in the mood for. Phoenix is truly the capital for this type of Mexican food though. Many places to choose from. From one end of the valley to the other. I am fond of the Original Garcia’s location (not associated with the chain) on 35th Av., Popo’s Fiesta Del Sol on West Indian School Road, The Tee-Pee (If I am in the neighborhood) and Pancho’s (Not the Buffet) on lower Central not too far north of Los Dos. What are some of the other locations where one can satisfy their craving for a good gooey plate of enchiladas, beans and rice in the greater Phoenix area? I avoid the chains as much as possible as I have not found one that really hits the spot.
