Update needed for Vancouver favorites

I'm setting up dinner reservations for this coming Sunday night with some friends in town from London, UK. When they are in town - we often find ourselves dining at Coast - which we love. However, we want to try somewhere else and I'm not so sure some of our past favorite restaurants still hold up - any thoughts from recent dining (past 6 months) at the following restaurants would be greatly appreciated:

West - Hawksworth is gone - does it still stand up?
Pastis on 4th
C
Cru
Parkside

Also - if you have alternate suggestions that are in line with the above - please feel free to share. Thanks.

I've recently been to Parkside, and can attest it is still doing well and I've been satisfied everytime I've been there. Look forward to hearing what you ended up choosing and how the meal was...

Here are my suggestions to add.

If you get a chance to go to White Rock, which you should now that the sun is finally out, check out Pearl on the Rock. The service is impeccable and the food is truly amazing. If they have the lavender ice cream, order it !! Just heavenly and I'm not a fan of floral flavours.

My other favorite outside of the downtown core is Pear Tree. Very limited seating so reservation is recommended. The lobster cappucino is absolutely delicious, so hard to describe it, very rich.
