Wendy's new shakes.

Has anyone tried any of these yet? If so are they any good?

I tried the chocolate shake - it was horrid. Bitter and chemical-y tasting. I couldn't drink it -- despite the fact of being ravenously hungry and on the road (all I ordered was the shake to tide me over). I left it in my car for three days (by accident). It smelled better after that though.

I tried the strawberry. It was ok, but I doubt I'll buy another. It just tasted like an extension of the whipped cream on top. Since that is aerosol whipped cream, it was like drinking strawberry Cool Whip.

I am a fan of the original frosty. It seems that they also added a vanilla frosty. It is not as good as the original, but I'd buy this over the shake for a number of reasons
- I can get a small size cup
- the price for a small cup is half the price of a shake
- I like cutting calories

That being said, I'm sticking with the original frosty. The vanilla frosty was like a melty vanilla soft serve with a fake vanilla taste ... I suspect this is the base for the shakes.

The original frosty though ... love it .. so unique ... slightly melty ... somewhere between soft-serve and shake. No strong chocolate flavor, but enough. And, again, I like I can buy a small size.

The strawberry isn't very good - very fake flavor and kind of bland.However, I sampled the BF's chocolate shake with m&m's and it was very good.

I tried the strawberry and didn't think it was that bad.

I just tried the Strawberry shake. I thought it quite poor. Steak & Shake is my gold standard for a chain strawberry shake. For a non-chain, it's the Mad Greek Restaurant, Baker, California, which is too far out in the boonies for regular consumption.

Mad Greek's strawberry shakes rock! And I don't usually like strawberry shakes.

I tried a strawberry and a chocolate since I last posted. The strawberry was delicious and amazing, but the chocolate left a lot to be desired. I would have preferred a chocolate frosty (maybe thats why the strawberry was a success because I had nothing to compare it to).

I thought that the chocolate frosty shake was the better fast food milkshake that I ever had. It was surprisingly not very sweet

The vanilla bean is delicious! When I tried the chocolate...I think it was just a frosty with whipped cream on top. (It wasnt my usual Wendys)

That sounds good. I just tried the rootbeer float and was really surprised at how tasty it was.
