Breakfast at Little Dom's in Los Feliz?

Just had breakfast at Little Dom's this weekend and it's terrific. Great outside tables, cool breakfast drinks and all the good LD fare but also breakfast pizza, yummy frittatas and AMAZING breakfast focaccia. Anyone else tried it?

  1. No, but thanks for letting us know. I'm a "breakfast freak" and their website is mute:

    1. Just went this morning, and had a really great meal. Super laid back, friendly staff, and really really great coffee. The menu is innovative with nice Italian twists on breakfast staples. It's just exactly what a neighborhood spot is supposed to be about.

      1. I will be having breakfast there this weekend. I've heard their blueberry pancakes are to die for.

        1. Wow, ANOTHER breakfast place in Los Feliz, which already has Square One, the Alcove, Figaro, Fred 62, Mustard Seed, Mes Amis, Home, House of Pies, Palermo just started serving on weekends, and others I've probably forgotten ...

          1. I just tried them for lunch, I'm afraid I'm going to have to give them a few more weeks for the kitchen to come up to speed. I started with a drink made with grapefruit and St. Germain. It was very good. I ordered the wood grilled burger with speck, burrata and roasted tomatoes. I also ordered a side of friend potatoes. I ordered it rare to med rare and it came out very well done. It was sent back and the potatoes were transfered to another plate for me to eat while waiting for the burger. The potatoes were very greasy - literally a mouthfull of oil. The second burger wasn't right, but was better and I was very hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. The meat had a very good flavor with a nice external char - good smokey wood taste. The speck was very leathery. I know that is how dry cured meats can be, but maybe wasn't the best choice on a burger. The roasted tomatoes were bland. The burrata cheese was great. It is served on square foccacia(?) bread - a little too soft for the size of the burger. I think the kitchen needs to learn/fine tune their lunch menu. The menu has several very good looking items and I'm def. going back to try again. Service was great. My potatoes were taken off the check and my drink was comped. They did this on their own w/o me asking. I really appreciate when management tries to make things right-and they did. I hope they get the kinks worked out because they have several items I'd like to try.

Yes, red, I have to agree with you! I've had similar experiences there, both times I've been there -- for breakfast and dinner. Everything on the menu sounds GREAT, but when it arrives, the execution is far less than perfect..... in fact, disappointing.
eg. Fritatta way undercooked inside; dried herbs in lieu of fresh; rare burger done raw; compelling-sounding pastas rendered in the most ordinary way imaginable, etc. But on a positive note, I absolutely love what they've done with the room inside (and the tables outside) and the bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous. I hope they can get it together in the kitchen, cuz it's right near my house and it would be nice to have a reliably good restaurant in Los Feliz, where there don't seem to be many!
