Finding Fresh Thai Rice Noodles in Osaka

animatrixie Jun 15, 2008 11:36 PM

Does anyone know where I can buy any? If not, can you recommend a good recipe for making them at home? The only one I've ever been able to find online never works for me...Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but a second opinion would be great!

There a restaurant called Maesai that has a small grocery store in the back. They carried some produce, too (I remember fresh cilantro, and some frozen things like lemongrass). I haven't been there in a long time (more than a year), so I don't know if they still have the store, but if they do, you might be able to get fresh rice noodles from them. Best to call (in Japanese or Thai, but afaik, not English) first, though to make sure.

This company has a store (Thai Market) at Kuromon-ichiba (Nipponbashi)

Obviously, they run Thai restaurants in Dotonbori and Namba.
