Best Danish pastries in Solvang?

So, due to the Simpsons episode featuring Milhouse's uncle, I'm obsessed with swinging by Solvang on our road trip from Napa to LA.

And, since good Danish pastries are hard to find back home in NYC, I was wondering if someone could recommend a pastry shop or two to pick up some tasty treats.

I've seen a few recs for Solvang Bakery - is it still the top? Or, should I try a few for different specialties of the house?

Thanks in advance!

They are all pretty good. I generally prefer Mortensen's and the Solvang Bakery.

I grew up in and around Solvang (Santa Ynez) and ate many a pastries as many of my (girl) friends worked at various bakeries in town.

If you are a wine drinker and have time, I'd strongly suggest that you avail yourself of the bountiful number of wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley on your way through town. I always come home with a couple cases when I'm up there visiting family.
