Little Owl or Market Table Walk In?

Anyone have experience or a guess at the wait on a Wednesday around 730pm for 2 persons?
Actually, not sure Market Table even takes them if they are booked.
And no burgers on the dinner menu, sigh.

Thank you

  1. on weekdays, im guessing a 1 1/2 - 2 hour wait at little owl...market table could be 30-45 min depending on the day.

apparently theyre removing the market portion and adding an addtional 15 seats i think.

Y, that is the case with Market Table and the Xtra tables. 2 hour wait, what is the point to hope people spend big bucks on booze?
      Thx for the estimate, Sam1.

maybe my estimation is a bit much considering the other responses. i just know that on weekend nights, they quote people of 2-3 hours all the time or just say theyre at capacity for the night.

both places have barely any bar space so it really is just that theyre super packed. theyre ultra nice about it as others have mentioned. the host at little owl once recommended me to go to employees only for drinks. i mentioned it to the bartender and he gave me and my girlfriend a free round.

Well, I am not going this week so perhaps another time.
I know they are packed but have walk-in spaces that is why I was asking.
Thanks to everyone and I hope to make use of the info at some point in the future.

    2. I walked in at Market Table around that time on a Wed. recently with four people and had no wait. Possibly a fluke, but it's always worth a try...

      1. I walked into Little owl with 2 people around 7 PM on a thursday... 10 min wait.

        1. For market table, there's a maitre d's cellphone number that you can get by calling the main phone number (it's on their outgoing message.) they will tell you about how long the wait is, and you can decide if it's worth it or not. they are usually good about getting right back to you if it goes into voicemail. there are quite a few places close by to kill 30 mins or so with a drink (do hwa, blue ribbon wine bar, ditch plains, etc.)

they try to hold a table for walk-ins or space at the bar. in my experience, the wait during the week around that time (well, a bit later) has been around 30 - 40 mins.
