New Indian in Durham
I haven't tried it yet, but there was a little write-up about it in the paper. I've included the important bits below:
Ballal Hossain is the owner and this is his first attempt at owning his own restaurant. He is originally from Bangladesh and has been in the restaurant business here in the U.S. for 11 years. He started as a dishwasher in New York and ended up as a chef at Bombay Grille on N.C. 54.
Taste of India features both northern and southern indian cuisine and has a $7.95 lunch buffet on weekdays, $8.95 on weekends. Every buffet order gets naan bread and a serving of tandoori chicken from the kitchen.
The house specialty will be the Palace Dinner for two. This will include tandoori chicken, lamb shish-kebab, tandoori prawns, vegetable curry and more for $34.95.
