Best place to get dessert in Philadelphia?

I am taking my friend out to eat and it's her birthday, so I wanted to know where is the best place to get dessert. Any places with great cheesecake?

  1. I recommend going to Le Bar Lyonnais and sharing the dessert sampler. I would recommend requesting the following items in the dessert sampler:
    -Frozen Grand Marnier Souffle
-Cheesecake (2 servings since that's what you specifically asked about)
    -Caradou (chocolate and hazelnut cake)
-Le Bec-Fin (dark chocolate cake soaked in rum)
    -Citron (lemon tart)
    -Pecan sour cream coffee cake
-Catania (marscapone mousse, strawberries, and basil)

    1. Capogiro's gelato is better than 90% of the desserts in the city's restaurants. If you want to try a different cheesecake, Horizons makes one that is 100% vegan and delicious.

Capogiro is great. So is Brown Betty. Neither have cheesecakes though. Termini's has decent ones though.

      2. Pink Rose at 4th and Bainbridge has exactly what you are looking for. Great white chocolate cheesecake as I recall. Cute little cafe/bakery with yummy desserts.

i would not call pink rose the best pasticeria in philly, but it is lovely and really is exactly what you are looking for. it's cute, you can sit down after dinner and you can get coffee too.

        2. If cheesecake is what you're looking for, then get yourself to Darling's. They have 2 locations: one is near the Franklin Institute and the other is on 19th (?) just south of Pine.
