redwood city eats

going to movies in downtown redwood city- love the papusa place but its too hot- any suggestions?

      thanks- we have a 10:30 movie time and we want Italian or Mexican or classic steak- but a time lime- ha ha- also we are going to the redwood shore movies - not downtown as I thought

    2. Perhaps John Bentley's in Redwood City. Haven't been in a while but in the past have loved their rib eye, crispy sweetbreads & some fish specials or...

      BTW, the weather seems to have cooled down quite a bit today. Enough to make think whether my daughter should have worn a jacket this evening to the Nativity Carnival in Menlo Park.

        As a regular at John Bentley's I whole heartedly agree, in fact we went there last night. The food is top notch easily competing with the best modern american on the peninsula. My favorites are the butter lettuce salad with blu cheese, the hanger steak. They also serve Stemmler Pinot Noir (current fav) by the glass. Lastly the bar is a great place to dine alone and Bob the bartender is a fun guy.

          It has fantastic Turkish food with very friendly, helpful service.
