Cooking and cake decorating kids classes

I was wondering if anybody knew any good kids cooking classes or cake decorating classes? I was looking for classes in Los Angeles but I am only finding the "kids menu" types of classes. I need a more sophisticated class but nothing is coming up. Thanks

    1. I've seen signs at Gloria's Cake & Candy Supply offering decorating classes and parties. I have not taken one so don't know the program, but give a call and see.

      1. Prep Kitchen Essentials in Los Alamitos. I've sent my kids to cooking camp and I've personally have taken classes there.

They have WONDERFUl kids classes here! My 10 yr. old has taken classes and absolutely loves it! It's in Pacific Palisades.

              1. You might want to try contacting Melody Brandon who does some amazing things with cake and frosting with groups of all ages...

                  1. try contacting Joy at joythebaker.com. She doesn't offer classes per se, but I feel like she could be persuaded. Shes a baker in the LA area and everything she makes looks great!

                      1. My 7 yr old kid just took a class at chef eric's on the westside (http://culinaryclassroom.com). They have different classes by age. The menus are sophisticated enough that we parents loved the food too (we got to taste all their hard work at the end of ea class). Up side: well run, experience in real professional kitchen set up. Down side: didn't get to do too much that we don't have her do already at home, so not sure how much she learned.
