Birthday celebration in Dallas

My husbands birthday is next Friday. He loves steak and we have frequented many steak restaurants in the Dallas metroplex. (Bob's, Lawry's, Craft, Eddie Merlot's). I am looking to broaden our repertoire .

We love Local. If it is a small party I think it is great. For larger parties > 6 or 8 I think it is too loud and difficult to hear. If you have never tried it it is a wonderful restaurant, great atmosphere and hip vibe. Try the tempura green beans they are great.

For Seafood I would recommend Newports or Oceannaire

Abacus is also really good if you are looking for a really upscale place. Quite a wide variety on the menu. They have a fabulous tasting menu but not sure its offered on Friday night.

York Street-very small and romantic, food is excellent. Also, a very broad menu focusing on local in season ingredients.
